Meet the State Topper 2006 and the Career Guidance programme were held at Jalaliya Nikkah Majlis on
the 3rd of September, 2006. The event was jointly organised by Iqra Educational Society and The Kayal First Trust.
Following the Welcome Address delivered by Mr.Wavoo Cader, President, Iqra Educational Society, Mr.M.S. Cader, Treasurer, Iqra Educational Society gave an introduction on Iqra Educational Society and The Kayal First Trust.
Two websites - www.topperstalk.com and
www.iqrakayal.org - were launched at the event by Mrs.A.Waheeda, Chairperson, Kayalpatnam Municipality. She also spoke on the occasion.
This was followed by talks on career matters by Dr.Jahubar Hussain (Formerly Academic Counsellor with M.S. University) and Dr.Syed Mohamed Buhari M.E.PHd (Lecturer, King Fahd University, Dammam).
Following a short break, the State Topper in the HSC exams held this year, Mr.V.Bharathram - was felicitated
with a cash prize of Rs.5000 as well a certificate by the Chief Guest for the day, Dr.S.O.Seyed Ahamed. Tamil translation of the interviews with the Top 3 rank holders in this year's HSC exams (available in english at www.topperstalk.com) was released in a booklet form by Mr.M.Shahul Hameed, popular anchor of several TV programs on Sun Tv. The booklet was distributed to the assembled students of 11th and 12th standards - belonging to five Kayalpatnam-based schools, numbering about 700.
Parents of Mr.V.Bharathram - Mr.Vasudevan and Mrs.Bhooma - also spoke to the gathering, sharing their experience in guiding their son to the top position in the state public exam. This was followed by an interactive session between the students and Mr.V.Bharathram. This was chaired by Mr.M.Shahul Hameed. Mr.V.Bharatram answered several questions raised by the students as well as the anchor - providing valuable tips in the process.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. B.A. Syed Mohamed Buhari, Trustee, The Kayal First Trust. |
